Once the lighter nights are back, we plan to also train
one evening. The evening chosen will be to suit most players availability.
Our coaches are all parent helpers.
Match reports for the current season can be found here.
The badminton club is held at the Bervie Sports Centre and goes on for an hour.
It is from seven to eight o'clock at night on Wednesday nights. Kinneff
pupils also go and the numbers keep on growing.
Our coaches are again all parent helpers.
We also have a school badminton team which this year took part in the
Scottish Sports' Hall Challenge
We came 2nd in the local heats, 2nd in the area finals, and 5th in the national
finals. Yes 5th, out of 212 schools in Scotland that took part.
We must say a big thank you to our two very dedicated parent coaches, Mrs.
Campbell & Mrs. Kemp.
As part of the Active Schools activities, we have been having visits from
Tarrick to prepare for a Kwik Cricket tournament. We have been practising
bowling and batting at school.
The school does not have a rugby team of it's own, although some of the pupils
participate at Mackie Academy's rugby team, which range from twos to under 18s.
They even have adult training.
The children's training is midweek (check with coach) and on Saturday mornings.
